Shamelessly delighted with reading these immense gaudy breeze blocks of books - I find, again, the delight I once had, a world ago, when reading science fiction and science fantasy, in the old "Panther" and "Four Square" paperbacks costing 3 old shillings and sixpence, with their rough, coarse, paper, and their vivid, crazy, storylines - forgetting myself and where I was, turning the pages - and, here, in this further part of the story of Jon Snow, his doomed family, wargs, wolves, hidden magic - sweeping from snow beyond The Wall, and the burning blue eyes of wights, to dragons, cruel slavers' cities and the red waste - I'm swept away, delighted!
