What a wild book! An artist's book, truly! I can honestly say I have never read any other book that evoked quite the tactile and visual and intellectual delight that this does. A book within a book, created by subtracting, resulting in a poetic sensory immersion. I admire the publisher, Visual Editions, for creating this visually exciting work. And I admire this tremendously creative work of art by Jonathan Safran Foer.

"the calendar is a moment, a colorful lie. night after night played endless every hour. The pages of days roared over roofs, blew through the city on the weather. the air became woolen, drunk on breezes."
