Really wish King did more of these short story collections, because I think I like his short stories better than his novels - they're all horror and no filler. Nothing terribly ground-breaking here, but I think only King can take tired, predictable tropes (murder will out; deal with the devil; etc.) and make them somehow compelling. Lots about personal trauma and revenge here - wonder how much of this is King still working through the aftermath of the hit and run.

A little disturbed (as a librarian) that this book contains TWO DIFFERENT bloodthirsty or otherwise twisted librarians, but I guess it's a nice change from the saintly spinster archetype.
