I really couldn’t get into this book at all even though I kept plugging away at it. The plot was very very slow and the characters and their lives were too normal for me. Sadly they didn’t endear themselves to me and I had no desire to find out what was going to happen. I kept hoping it was going to improve with more story about the mystery cards put through the letterboxes of Pepys Road, but that part of the story was very elusive. I also found there was to much narrative and not enough mystery about the characters to draw me in. I was really wanting it to grab my attention at some point but it didn’t and I gave up after only reading about a third.

Bettie☯ I found this read like a soap opera template, wanting to be the new 'Stenders?

Left me cold.
