it was amazing
bookshelves: novels, book-club-books

Very compelling book. I could hardly put it down. It's hard to imagine the lives that some people lead. There were several times in the book that I caught myself hoping for something to happen that I ordinarily wouldn't want. It made me think about good and bad, right and wrong. Sometimes the lines aren't as clear as you would like to think. The writing was excellent. The characterization was excellent. I was touched by the portrayals of what the characters were going through in times of difficulty.
