The Glass Castle is an unforgettable memoir about a girl born in a seriously dysfunctional family (with 2 sisters and a brother that seem to have kept the family together).

Learning about all the hardship they have been through, including hunger, frost and physical abuse from other family members (not immediate parents), is fascinating and moving but what makes this memoir unforgettable is the positive outlook they have always kept.
