Just so you know the new Steve Martin movies have nothing in common with this except the dozen children thing....
Wow I can't even tell you why I liked this so much. It definately was the first book I have ever read that felt like I was watching an old classic movie (not just because I did happen to see the old movie a few years ago). I think I also really liked it because it was real but seemed fictional....similar to Dewey the Library cat. It is so enjoyable it is hard to believe it is a memoir.

I think I will start saying By Jingo.
