Well, I am not really the one for autobiographies or any biographies for that matter, but if I had to read one (which I did) I would choose this one. It was so encouraging to learn about Booker T. Washington's life, how he overcame his slavery as a child and became a great entrepenuer, and even became rich. His life was encouraging.
Now, I wasn't a fan of how he jumped around a lot, -giving me the impression ADD wasn't out of the question- but it was a really good story, and even funny at times. He met many famous people, including a few of our presidents, and even Queen Victoria.
If you're not into autobiographies I wouldn't say "pick it up for a quick read", but I would encourage this book if you are ever interested in a true and encouraging story.
