Lenin's analysis here of the problems of late 18th century and early 19th century capitalism are spot-on, and the book is surprisingly short and reader-friendly. Of course, Lenin completely fails to account for the rise of the welfare state and the drastic expansion of democracy, which ultimately undercut his dire predictions. Still, it is definitely worth reading as a look into the motivations that drove one of the 20th century's most influential (terrible, perhaps, but definitely influential) men.
