For me one of the highlights of 2007 was getting to hear Gene Robinson speak in D.C., though "witness" would probably be a more fitting word than "hear." Reading this book affirmed my belief that he is one of the prophetic voices of our time, uncompromising in his vision of community and social justice, a truth-teller and radical peacemaker. Just spending a couple hundred pages in his company is occasion for gratitude.
