This was a really wild book--the concept that a man's current memory could be wiped out by a virus he contracted leads to all sorts of complications--kidnapping, murder, theft, and others. Dr.Jo Beckett gets involved with the case, and nearly gets killed a number of times. The most entertaining character is a little monkey, belonging to a neighbor, who wears a tiny lampshade for a hat, and left alone to his own devices, shoots wounded collector status Beanie Babies from the second story window. Lots of action--
