it was amazing

Giraffes Can’t Dance written by Giles Andrede and illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees is a beautifully written rhyming story about a giraffe named Gerald who thinks he can’t dance. Every year the animals hold a jungle dance something that Gerald never looks forward to, as the other animals make fun of him and tell him that he can’t dance. One day this all changes when Gerald finds some music that allows him to dance and move freely. The story is in no doubt bought to life by the most wonderful illustrations. A lovely story to read out loud to children and to discuss what is happening in the pictures and how Gerald may be feeling at the different stages in the story. Children can point out the rhyming words to you and make predictions about what they think may happen. I recommend this story for children aged 2+ I have read it to a reception class and it was a very popular story, well worth purchasing.
