I thought Victor Frankenstein was a very emotional man. Every time he saw the monster or heard of him or even thought of him, the book mentions how Victor goes into a feverish state for months and people have to wait on him and care for him and such. He seemed a very weak person, though perhaps he was supposed to come across as cowardly.
