Once upon a time I read a book of shorts that had a story set in this world and I thought that it was interesting, but not really my cup of tea. Now years later, after being challenged to read the first book in the series, I believe I’ve changed my mind, or more my preference in books. I enjoyed this book although I really don’t think it’s much more than a fluffy, fun, vampire story. There’s intrigue and laughs and some mildly annoying parts. I think I will read the other books in the series when I can fit them in. It’s always nice to throw a book in that is just fun instead of emotionally draining (although those books area always emotionally draining in a good way).
