Night Huntress has got to be my favorite Paranormal Series! Destined for an Early Grave was a great read so much happened at times I smiled, got mad, and even a little teary.
Cat and Bones are facing more problems with the undead...This time with a Master vampire named Gregor who wants Cat so badly he will go to any means to get her. This problem (along with a little help from side effects from sleeping pills) also causes problems between Cat and Bones and during their issues I found myself extremely mad at both of them! I would really like to understand Cat and her reasoning for not completely opening up to Bones like he really wants but doesn't completely push for. BUT...I would also like to smack Bones for not giving Cat a chance to explain why she did what she felt she needed to do because it's not like he gave her any indication there was a trap. I really hope they can get over their communication issues because I adore them as a couple!
Anyway, So Gregor does all his bad guy stuff and causes all these problems but in the midst of all these problems we get to see a friendship between Cat and Vlad beyond him talking her off a Cliff develop. They both feel a kinship towards each other and it seems as though he would do almost anything to help Cat out even though he and Bones do NOT get along. I'm curious to see if we will get to see this friendship develop more because as much as I cared for Tate his constant "I'm in love with you Cat" was getting really old and I'd really love to see Cat have an actual friend who is nothing more than a friend!
Again, I am totally loving this series and I'm off to read This Side of the Grave and see what kind of trouble our favorite couple find themselves next!
