Ambition is the name of the game when it comes to graphic novels, and this book nailed the ambition aspect.

As any graphic novel reader knows, the biggest question when approaching a graphic novel is "do I read this one quickly, or slowly?"

You don't want to miss any of the art, but neither do you want to get bogged down in a book with few words...

This book is multi-linear, following 18 different stories throughout. The lives mesh, and come together... Each page has 9 frames... so while the book is open, you're reading 18 stories at once.

I didn't realize this, and went about a slow reading, trying to take it all in. Man, that was a mistake.

I definitely recommend this book, but if you do read it I highly recommend that you read it fast. No doubt I would give it five stars if I had started out reading it that way.
