Darker After Midnight (Midnight Breed, #10)

I have been waiting for Harvards book a long time now. Like I said before, Chase is special to me , because I think he's the diferent type of PNR heroe. When you read a book in this genre your main heroe is typically a scared male with a dark past that is revieled to the readers via flashbacks or recollection of past events. This is not the case with Sterling Chase. The once who followed the series witnessed he's downfall at first hand. Chase started off as a very promising young Breed male, with a bright future ahead of him and many possibilities. He was arrogant and maybe just a bit naive but the events that occured turned everything upside down...
To me Chase is more of a classic and temporary literature type of character, and that's basically the reason I felt excitement about his book. I could relate to him , because I got to witness his fallout and not get informed by a 3rd party or some flashback scenes.
With this in mind I felt overall satisfaction with his HEA. The action was fast paced and definitely kept my attention. I must admit I liked Tavia Fairchild, as she didn't annoy me too much (unlike Renata and Corine) I would like to assure the readers that this book is waaaay better than the previous one, which isn't hard to accomplish since Deeper Than Midnight is so damn near to disasterland. There was also a good connection between Chase and Tavia. They had the chemistry.
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!
Of course there are some things I could rant about which I would put in spoilers.

I'm on my library's waiting list so I'm having to wait patiently. I loved your review and love chase also because I witnessed his evolution first hand. I'm glad to hear the couple chemistry was good because Deeper than Midnight was lackluster.

Deeper Than Midnight had the worst couple of all the books! Thank the lord for for the other stuff that happend in this book , which i can't remember right now, which tells you how "good" this book is lol. Can't wait to to discuss more about this one with you Sam :P :) Let me know when you finish up!
Indeed! I can't tell people enough how disgusted I am from the slightest mention of (view spoiler) Gawd...how I dream of authors dropping that place fo'eva lol
Alright. I just finished this book and I'm really pissed. They mention Atlantis and give the impression that there are immortal men from Atlantis getting women pregnant . But none of this was confirmed. I would rather the Epilogue had answered questions that have arisen for the past 9 books instead of wasting time on a UN speech!
The UN speech was rediculous!Soo unreal and out of place is like a thorn in the eye.Like that is going to help humans accept beings that have been sucking their blood for centuries...rediculous. It would be waay more realistic if there was actually panic and untrust towards the vamps. Also yeah, you got the Atlantis story right Sam. A bunch of men from atlantis roam about having unprotected sex with human females and eventually getting them pregnant.I'm pretty sure this is all about that story line...
What a frustrating end to an otherwise enjoyable series. It was as if she was trying to hard to present a perfect HEA ending. Not just for Chase, but for all of Vampire kind. We still don't know what Jenna finally evolved into. I had too many questions
I heard that Mira is going to be next but it's not 100% legit. Also I'm pretty sure that Lazaro Archer's grandson is going to have a book too or maybe he's going to be Mira's HEA.
mmm now that's interesting. I'm actually interested in reading that. They were so young in the last book that a minimum of 10 years would have to pass in the book timeline. Maybe then I can find out about Jena, and hear about all of the babies that were conceived in the last book.
I guess it'll be about Mira, Nathan (?) and Kellen. The guy who doesn't get her, will be the next book after that I assume. I like Lazaro Archer so I hope I see more of him.
Yea, there has to be atleast a 10 year gap between this one and the next. I would read them only cause I wanna know about the changes after the big reveal of the vamps. I don't like kids , never did. They are vile creatures lol. Every time my little cousins come around they feel the need to torment my bunny, pulling her legs and ears. Poor thing gets scared so badly she hides under my bed and doesn't come out for hours. No one screws around with my bunny! Also they need to inform me about every boring stuffs about school untill i grab my shit and go for a walk. No other human being has managed to piss me off and bore me at the same time. Stupid kids...
