bookshelves: namerica, crime, fiction, mystery, owned, top-ten-percent
Read from August 12 to 18, 2014

This was one of Sandford's best mysteries. It was the thirty-eighth Sandford novel that I have read and I thought that I had finished all of his works. However, he has recently added another nowel to his collection, so that I still have another to look forward to. This book is blessed with another psychotic killer who seems to kill people as a hobby and sends our hero Lucas Davenport off chasing rainbows a number of times before he gets the scent and solves the case. Our hero has a separation from his girlfriend and future wife just long enough to have a little intimacy with a fellow worker which in between bouts of sarcasm and hard work is an emtertaining byproduct. After thirty-eight novels, all taking place in Minnesota, I will never need a GPS while visiting since I believe at one time or another I was speeding down every road in the state in our hero's Porsche.
