The book ended happily, perfectly, with romance and adventure and sorrow and solace. It is the ending that will stay with me forever; the rest, easily forgotten.

Maureen So, I was intrigued by your review of this book. Clicking on it and reading the excerpt,I'm suddenly transported and thinking that I've read this. But no, can't be. But yes, when I was a child I loved that book. Funny the things we forget isn't it? I bet I didn't think it was fucking stupid back then? Bet I didn't know the F word even! :-)

Amanda It IS funny what we forget, isn't it... And almost sad that it's hard to remember books, but easy to remember embarrassing stuff, like the time I flipped over on the monkey bars and Kenny Thompson saw my underwear. Ugh... ;)

I don't know about you, but I'm glad I know the F word now. I love being in command of my own language--even if it is profane... ha!

Maureen Hmmm, maybe I should get me some monkey bars. I'd like some boy to see my underwear right about now!

Kidding! Soooo kidding!

Amanda Hahaha! Yeah, why don't they have playgrounds for adults? That would be a super-great place to meet people. :) Just wear cute undies...
