really liked it
bookshelves: mystery, suspense
Read in November, 2011

Nicely escalating read with a stubborn heroine who is a private investigator and the police detective that becomes reluctantly entangled in one of her cases. Alex Lovell is used to people underestimating her (and thinking that she is a man) but she hates being condescended to and homicide detective Nathan Devereaux has a struggle to keep her safe and to get closer to her because of her prickly and defensive attitude. Will have to find the rest of the books in the series, great suspenseful story!
