This is a great book for students that are just learning the first concepts of math. It gives them the idea that we use math all the time in our every day lives, and shows them how useful it can be. I would definitely introduce this book to my students when we are going over some math topics that may be a little more difficult, just to show them how useful what they are learning will be and to give them that little push. The illustrations definitely match the concepts of the book really well. This book is about a young girl who get the "math curse," and starts doing math calculations in her head for everything that she does during the day... like counting her teeth while they are brushing them. As already stated, this is great for showing students how prevalent math is going to be in their every day lives.
