I'm not sure if I'm spilling a lot of the goods here, so I'm not going to put up a spoiler warning, cause (to me) most of it seems pretty well-duh-worthy.
I don't know, this is like the BDSM version of Edward and Bella, and half of the time I don't know if I should be turned on or scared as hell. Probably both. It's not like I didn't know what was going to happen, and the subject is miles and miles away from my own personal interests in that
area, but I can't help but relate to Ana when it comes to her feelings, but I'll get back on those later.
I do like her, (although all the "inner goddess" crap got boring after a while) and I understand her obsession with Christian. To her, he seems like Prince Charming in the flesh, only with a whip and shackles instead of shining armor and a horse
although he seems to be hung like one
. Me personally, I'd set fire to any contract about agreeing to having a stranger live out his darkest fantasies on me and my body. And tie his balls in a sailors knot.
Christian... I don't know... He has a cold hart, is selfish and although this is kinda stating the obvious, somebody who makes a control-freak look like a lamb. He takes what he wants, when he wants it. I know how a girl feels when she thinks she can break down the walls around a guy, but in the end, they will only disappear if he lets them down himself. I'm pretty sure by the end of this trilogy they'll be surrounded by fat grandchildren and have found a balance in their relationship, but right now I'm just completely clueless on what his deal is. "I want you, I miss you, you are the most amazing girl I've ever met, blah blah, BUT DON'T TOUCH ME!!". Isn't he just telling her what she wants to hear so she'll stick around? Giving her false hope because that's what she needs from him?
I'll read the rest of the series just because I'm curious about what Ice Man will do, although I'm not completely happy with the writing (but that is personal taste of course, so I'm not saying it's bad, just certain words and phrases, and the OOC parts which don't seem to fit)
Oh and one final remark. Baby? Baby
? Seriously?ETA 01/26/2012: I'm sorry, I have been living under a rock for the past year, so I really had no idea this series is actually a Twific. -facepalm-
Thank you Alicia
for pointing that out :)
