This book was very interesting. Who would have thought killer unicorns? Astrid was a a very strong protagonist. Her mother is crazy, even though she was telling the truth. This story was exciting, and I liked the concept. I hope that somehow Astrid can find a way to modernize unicorn hunting. But the real reason I think that Diana Peterfreund wrote this book, was to point out animal cruelty. I only realize this because she said something about on twitter. SO this book was a great example of how people treat animals in a bad way, and how we don't understand animals. Astrid didn't understand unicorns but she didn't really want to hurt them. Anyway, I liked this book. It had a lot of adventure, action, and some romance.
