really liked it
bookshelves: history, politics

As an American who has lived in other countries for 12.5 years of my life I am sensitized to how foreigners perceive us. I have seen countless examples of ugly americans over the years. I've read this book twice and really found it's point useful. It's getting a little dated now, but the thesis is sound and still worth understanding. It'd be interesting to see an updated version that instead of using Vietnam era communism as the bad-guy, would use middle eastern extremism.
