This book took me forever to read, which tells you something right there. I liked it alright but I found it both fascinating and frustrating. As best I can describe it, it is a cross between The Help and The Nanny Diaries. The dialogue was difficult to understand as it is in a Jamaican dialect - as a white girl, I had to keep gong back and re-reading lines to understand them. I kept waiting for the book to come to a climax to understand the point and when it did it was rather rushed. Then, suddenly, the book was over, just when I thought it was finally getting started. Count yourself warned.
