Some are said to be lost in the 60s. That somehow falls short of my sentiments.
Me?
I languish to be in the 60s.
I cry that I am not able to be a part of the 60s;
I cry that the 60s can no longer be part of me (us?)
Can we find, define and reclaim what is lost?

" . . . waiting with people [teens at the time Oliver Stone's "The Doors" was released] who seemingly wanted to claim as more theirs than ours [those who grew up in the 1960s] what we'd once gone to see ever weekend" (p. 42).
Throughout the 60s and well beyond (continuing till current times to an extent), I was more into the Doors than any other musical group, as were most of my friends. Then again, as most of my friends were Heads, that was to be expected.
