really liked it

I thoroughly enjoyed this pleasant, very readable re-telling of the goose girl fairy story. It has been so long since I read a goose girl story that it was like discovering the story new. My only disappointment was that a lot of really powerful symbology was under used; the handkerchief and jewellery her mother gave her and the horse head. These could have been used better rather than just dwindling out of the plot as the story moves on to new adventures. Otherwise however a book that is satisfying to read and which I am pleased to have bought.
