Cryssa The unabridged versions must be huge! He was paid by the word.

Misfit So was Dumas. No wonder the books are such chunksters.

message 3: by Cryssa (new)

Cryssa All except A Christmas Carol and it was very short and better for it.

Misfit Good point. Still not sure why I bought this, since you can get most of this stuff free on kindle now. Book buying is a sickness with me :/

Cryssa I so get that! I can't help myself when I go through Chapters. I have so many books to read but I always find more. There must be an AA for readers.

Misfit I went to the Chapters in Vancouver BC a few years ago. The one on Robson Street. All those chocolates, furs, cigar and dress stores and where do I spend all my time and money?

message 7: by Cryssa (new)

Cryssa Yup. I have friends who are shoe-aholics and others who love jewellery. Give me a 4 x 6 book, smelling of ink and words and I'm a happy camper.
