Read from November 19 to 21, 2011

Mike Lawson's "Joe DeMarco" books just keep getting better. DeMarco works well as the flawed "congressional fixer," son of a deceased Mafia hit man unable to get a job as a lawyer because of his pedigree. And Mahoney is, as always, perfect as the Tip O'Neil-like Speaker of the House who uses and abuses DeMarco, but is, at heart, one of the good guys. Lawson makes it impossible not to like these guys, warts and all. Start at the beginning with Inside Ring and read the whole series.
