Chapters were quick and easy to read. Storyline seems similar to Journey of the Center of the Earth in the beginning, but branches off when Jeff gets a sudden introduction to the civilization. When a prophecy gets introduced with its obligatory confusing verses, things change even more. Jeff, of course, doesn't think he is this forseen Raja, even with all the odd things going around him.

I think this book would be great for kids, but as an adult that has been reading adventure books for years I'm a bit jaundiced. The story gets a bit choppy at times and doesn't seem terribly origional as a whole. However, unless kids have read all the classics, which deosn't seem to happen anymore, they would be happy with this book.
