This was my first Ione book and if you can say the same, read no further and go get Pleasure Unbound instead. This is a direct spin-off of the “Demonica” series and the world-building is very complicated, even without coming in in the middle.

Not understanding the background made Eternal Rider hard to get into at first, and much of the set-up seemed to be standard paranormal cliches. But as I went on, I started to appreciated the inventiveness of the mythology and the complex issues that arose out of it. This is definitely romance with a lot at stake -- the fate of the world, as well as the fate of lovers. A strong, interesting read.
