Another wonderful story by Perry. A troupe of actors is invited to northern England in the days leading up to Christmas, in order to work on and present an adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, which is all the rage in England at the time. A gaunt stranger arrives at their door in the middle of a storm, and ends up with a spear through his chest. Caroline must solve the murder as soon as possible, in order to stay the horrors and fears of the household. The weather prohibits the police from coming themselves. I really enjoyed this one.
