I can't really decided wether to give this novel stars. So instead I'll try to put my rathing into words and let you decided how many stared novel in continuation of my arguments.

Misery by Stephen King is a different horror novel than the author's other horror novels, because it is not scary in the same way, however, it is scary when it comes to the psychological aspects of the story, and I believe many people who are a devoted fan of something might be able to relate to Annie, the scoundrel of the novel, maybe not fully but haven't we all at some point or another felt a strong connection to something other people did? I believe so. Annie's part in the end of the story is also what really give you the King-goosebumps. In many ways, and not only because of Annie's character, is this a twisted story about loneliness and and disappointment as well as admiration and longing for what makes you keep going.

So if it's such a exciting and thrilling novel, why didn't I rate it with more stars? As always, I really don't enjoy the epilogue of any of the Stephen King novels I've read so far. Misery wasn't any different. It would simply have been nice of King to end the book when I thought my goosebumps would never stop. Also the time the main character spends at Annie's got a bit boring in the long run and made 369 pages seem like endlessly many.
