did not like it
bookshelves: abandoned

I had to give up on this one. Really poor effort from the creators of Castle. I had higher expectations.

10.0% "It's weird reading a book written by a fictional character on a show you're watching. I thought Richard Castle would have been a better writer. So far, this reeks of trying too hard. Not sure if I'll finish it."
42.0% "I'm sort of just trying to push through this book. The characters aren't as likeable as on the show, and some of the writing is painful (and Raley and Ochoa (Ryan and Esposito) are called 'Roach' for short? What?). I was about to give up, but then there was an action scene in Nikki's apartment that was good enough to draw me back in."
51.0% "Ugh, the intro to the sex scene (which I haven't read yet) is painful! What Rook calls 'hand margaritas' are just how you take a freakin' tequila shot."
51.0% "Moving this one to the abandoned shelf!"
