When I was a sophomore in high school we performed this play. I was Jacques 1 ("How goes it Jacques, is all the spilt wine swallowed?"). Sadly, I do not recall much of the overall story of the play. I must have only paid attention to the scenes I was in, and as a minor character it was very few! Thankfully I did remember the stunning conclusion in which Sidney Carton sacrifices his life for those he loves.

This has been on the list of books I probably should read one day, and having now read it I am glad to check it off that list. It truly is a fantastic story with compelling characters and themes. Do yourself a favor and read it if you have not already.
