My parents sat down with me and read this book to me when I was a kid. I seem to recall it being when I was about 7 or 8, but it might have been younger since my brother was born when I was 4. If you've got a child and are unsure of how to answer this question, this is book provides good guidance. You should be at least comfortable with the discussion though, because there are cartoon illustrations of everything.
