The entire time I'm reading this book, all I'm thinking of is :When will somebody call Whine One One on this guy and get him a Whambulance?"
All he does is bitch throughout the entire book. The parts where he describes training aren't even that thorough, and you'd expect him to be enthusiastic about his job, if nothing else.
He whines about his personal life and how much it sucks and he whines about the Marine Corps and how much they suck.
The only part of the book I found mildly enjoyable was when him and his buddies beat up everyone at a bar after their friend is killed in a car accident because the bar patrons disgraced his friend's memory. Even that is overshadowed by the general malaise of the book.
If you're looking for a great book on the military, don't look here. If you're looking on ways to further depress yourself if you're borderline suicidal, please read this book.
