Since becoming a midwifery student, i am learning more about my body. i think this book is great for anyone who wants to know about their cycle, cervical fluid, and how to prevent pregnancy by following your bodies cues. it would also be helpful for people trying to conceive. the author explains the fertility awareness method (FAM)/symptothermal method, which is NOT to be confused with the rhythm method. i had no idea people still did this and i have met people in my program who have used this method successfully for years. this is something i really want to master. its pretty cool!

this book is also really helpful by showing pictures of cervical fluids and cervix throughout the cycle. i finally feel normal! the topic of cervical fluid is not something women openly discuss so to see pictures and to relate to them was very nice. this book also discusses charting basal body temperature. if anyone is charting, i would recommend checking out fertilityfriend.com as a simple way to track your cycle online instead of doing it by hand as she shows in the book.

this isn't really a book to read cover to cover. you pick and choose which chapters pertain to your situation and what you want to know. but it is overall very informative and will make you realize how awesome your reproductive cycle is!
