really liked it

I like McCullough's books. This wasn't my favorite but of course very well done and amazingly researched. (I think another title would have explained the premise better.)
I was fascinated to learn about some of the people, especially Morse. I enjoyed the chapters about the doctors, and the diplomat during the siege.
I read this right after a Tale of Two Cities. Really fun to see Paris represented the same way in both books.
I would love to visit Paris!
What I loved the most was to see how Americans were viewed by the French in the 1800's and how they are viewed today and how it's the same! Fascinating to see that a country's people truly do have an identity.
