EDIT 10/3/2012
I am a horrible person. Don't deny it, just go with it.
It started with The Crown of Embers: instead of doing my English homework, I stayed up late and read that book. Then came The Casual Vacancy: Government. Now? Calculus.
But anyway, I was right! Sure, I was wrong about a few things, but the gist of it is that I was right!
[And more to come later, because I need to do Physics now. And more Calculus.]

T A Kane Chronicles cross over would be fantastic! I actually read those before I read any of the other series. Would Nico somehow become Walt/Anubis? Is that why he's disappeared! Now you;ve really got me thinking!

Kcatty Well...I was going more for an accidental-running-into-a-node thing...
If you remember in the first Kane book, how they mention that Manhattan "has its own problems", and then when Thoth complains that he's more like Hermes than Apollo, it's clear that the Egyptian gods and at least senior magicians know about the Greeks, but we haven't seen any proof the Greeks know about the Egyptians (which would make the accidental-running-in thing a little more believable).
It probably won't happen anyway, though, so...

T I hadn't thought of the fact that the Egyptians seem to know about the Greeks, but there's no indication that the Greeks know about the Egyptians. That's something to chew on...

In the final Kane Chronicles book when their mother mentions "other gods" and strange goings on, I wondered if he would use that to make a cross over into the Gods of Olympus series. You never know. It would be fun, but as he's said he has other things on the table right now (and planned for the future), I don't know that it will actually happen.

Kcatty I agree, though it would throw something new into the mix which Riordan is always looking for. I do wonder how the Kane siblings would be taking the "strange goings on"...

T Yes, I just saw this tonight and came on here to see if anyone else had seen it! I cannot wait to read it! I'm fine with it being a short story. Maybe he'll expand it into a novel later.
