wow was this ever a disappointment. I was looking forward to a good Palhaniuk novel since my disappointment with Rant. I was eagerly anticipating the release of this one and bought it within a week or two of it coming out.

It's a short book, ~200 pages large margin large type, I finished it in 3 or 4 sittings, but its just the same old thing.

The story is told from the POV of three guys waiting for a change to join into the largest gangbang ever 600men and one woman, 1 at a time. The chapters jump from one of the three characters (plus the porn stars assistant) and is told in the first person each time.

Chuck does a good job in making you feel repulsed at these people and their "waiting room" but he uses the same gross out factors in every single chapter and it looses its impact after the 20th time you hear about some slobs spray on bronzer sticking to himself and the floor with every step.

On a good note, there are a few plot twists (most of which are expected) and a pretty good ending which keep this novel far from boring it is just no way worth the 25$ in hardcover. This book seems it would have been better suited as a short story than marketed and sold as a novel.

Ill still purchase the next one he put's out, but i hope he takes his time with it and comes up with something noteworthy.
