It's slightly difficult for me to rate this fairly, coming as it were after reading two books that burrowed their way into my psyche to the point that the impact hasn't yet faded from my mind.

Forgotten is not that kind of book.

It immediately caught my attention, reminding me of Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson, in that everything she experiences that day is forgotten (unless it is written in her notes); while adding the new twist of being able to "remember" the future.

The premise was interesting and engaging, the characters enjoyable and the book well-written. But like many others have pointed out there were some flaws in the plot line. The end seemed hurried and a bit unfinished.

And the biggest frustration of all? (view spoiler)
