I hate myself for loving you. I wanted to hate this shallow, self-absorbed story about Park Ave. Princesses, but couldn't. I also couldn't stop reading it and I was sad when it ended. Not because it had a sad ending, but because I wanted more. Then I recommended it to a friend (my aunt actually gave me the book because I assume she loved it). Yes, I saw the ending coming from a hundred pages away, but that's okay. It wasn't a mystery, it was...something else. The heroine didn't grow much, but maybe that was the point. She was loved for herself. I like romance, and I like my romance with the H/H together for much of the book, which wasn't the case because it wasn't really a typical romance. I thought just referring to the protagonist as moi was clever, yet distancing for the reader. The entire book was witty and clever, but not a 5 star. I will be reading Plum Sykes again though.
