First of all I haven't read the previous books in this series, but with the exception of a few unclear details, it did not present a problem. One of the things I love about a series is the intertwining characters that move from book to book, and this novel lived up to that. We meet the brothers of Jake and many of the werewolves from their town.
I liked both the hero and heroine. I think we get more insight into Alicia's than Jake's background, this could be something given to us in previous books... I like Alicia. She is strong and determined but the bounty hunter occupation seems a bit of a stretch. I do have to say she takes the change to a werewolve with a unbelievable amount of acceptence. I mean, you are passed out and wake up a werewolve and just go with the flow??
Jake on the other hand is a drool worthy alpha male. The love scenes are well done and the overall story is exciting and leaves you hoping for the HEA.
