3rd-6th Grade Read-Aloud: 2011 Bluebonnet; The students LOVED this book and thought it was AMAZING. We discussed elements of poetry, but we then talked about how these elements had to work in BOTH versions, which the kids found fascinating. We then talked about point of view, and how punctuation was the only thing (besides order) that changed in order to change the point of view and therefore, the meaning. It was a good lesson on how punctuation can impact meaning.
