Lovely story about a woman whose husband dies suddenly & she is completely bereft. She loses the part-time job she had and was at a loss as to what to do. She loves to cook and therein lies the story. She makes lasagna to give to a widowed neighbor who had brought her some soup (which was horrible) as a thank you, and meets the neighbor's brother, who had just moved in with his sister. The brother returns the empty lasagna pan and has a proposition for Angelina. Since his sister is a horrible cook & he doesn't cook, would she be willing to prepare breakfast and dinner for him six days a week and he will pay her! She accepts immediately. Word spreads rapidly, and before she knows it, she has a table full of bachelors (of all ages) to feed. The shopping, planning and cooking consume her completely. The only time she leaves her home is for shopping. The story spans well over a year in her life and of course, has a message of family love and hope for the future. Also - books is written by a man, with many recipes written by his wife. Good book and if you enjoy cooking, you might like to try some of the recipes.
