An interesting, quick read or flip-through of "bookmarks" found throughout the author's book dealing career. I enjoyed the older "bookmarks" far more than the newer ones and was surprised to see that many date from the mid-1800s. I also appreciated the scanned images that show the handwriting, photographs, and book covers. It was fun to try and read the different handwriting styles, and it was nice that Popek included notes on the "bookmarks" he found more information on, including one of his own. I am now reminded to check twice before returning a book to the library for fear of where my own "bookmarks" may end up!

I did receive this copy free from Goodreads' First Reads. Thank you!
