It just occurred to me; I've now read a 600 page book in a day. I don't have to return it to the library for another two and a half weeks... so potentially I could read it 16, 17 more times? But that would be silly. Derek Landy doesn't let us, his loyal minions, down with this latest tome, and it is clear he has a plan for the next few books. At least one of the plot-lines, a mortal journalist trying to uncover the magical world, only barely gets started in this book. The zombies are pretty much there for comic relief and little else. Tanith and Billy Ray Sanguine are sadly absent. Major secrets are revealed! If any series of books can lay claim to the oft-used "If you're kid loved Harry Potter, they'll love this" it's this series. Plus it's freaking hilarious.
