really liked it
bookshelves: fiction
Recommended for: sci-fi readers, fans of The Thing
Read in March, 2001

Campbell was a great sci-fi writer from the 1930s. This short novel is great. The details of the story are a bit confusing at times but in the end Campbell delivers a cleverly written story of paranoia and human nature.
A couple of films have been made from this novel, but John Carpenter's The Thing does the best job.
