Thanks to Net Galley, and Crown Publishing for providing me with this wonderful advance copy to read. National best selling author Michelle Moran returns to Paris, this time under the rule of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte as he casts aside his beautiful wife, Josephine, to marry a Hapsburg Princess he hopes will bear him a royal heir.
This author is one of my favorite authors, and this new book proves yet again that I can absolutely, always trust that I will enjoy any subject she chooses to write about. Beautifully written, I devoured this in two days. I could not put it down! Ms. Moran pays great attention to details, and historic events, as well as to the characters personalities. She paints a stunning picture of royal life in the court of Emperor Napoleon, full of scandal, and intrigue. As with all of her novels, i came away with much more knowledge of this period than I previously had known. Michelle Moran is a sure bet that I will always take! I cannot wait to see what journey she takes me on next!
